The professional does the work, the amateur does the research. 

The professional asks questions.  The amateur gives long answers. 

The professional listens actively.  The amateur thinks about the next thing to say. 

The professional is straightforward.  The amateur beats-around-the-bush.

The professional focuses on client service.  The amateur focuses on performance.

If you provide world class client service, provide great client education, call people back the same day, create an open atmosphere of communication, and if you implement consistent ideas...you will be very successful and garner great client referrals.

It is simple to say, difficult to implement.
